Self-Storage Marketing: Special Opening Session Added to ISS Expo in D.C.
Marketing is more critical than ever in today’s competitive self-storage market, and facility operators have to be much smarter and more creative with their promotions and advertising. The Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Washington, D.C., has just added a special opening session that focuses on this essential topic.
On Oct. 6, attendees will enjoy a presentation titled “The Best Self-Storage Marketing: Campaigns That Will Rock You,” a lively, entertaining session highlighting some of the industry’s most inventive and effective marketing efforts. Attendees will see what fellow managers and owners are doing to reach and entice prospective customers, and walk away with ideas that will infuse their own programs with creativity and value.
The session will be presented by Derek Naylor, president of Storage Marketing Solutions, and Mel Holsinger, president of Professional Self-Storage Management Co. It will include highlights from the recent “Best of Self-Storage Marketing” Contest, hosted by Inside Self-Storage magazine.
The ISS Expo will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Created for self-storage owners, managers, developers, investors and suppliers, it comprises four days of educational seminars, product and service exhibits, and networking opportunities. With a theme of “Today’s Challenges Are Tomorrow’s Profit,” the event focuses on strategies for generating revenue and perfecting business branding in a demanding economic environment.
