Inside Self-Storage World Expo Las Vegas Draws Thousands of Attendees

Thousands of self-storage professionals from around the world have convened at the sumptuous Paris Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas for the Inside Self-Storage World Expo, March 1-3. On Monday and Tuesday, event attendees, including self-storage owners, managers, investors, builders and vendors, enjoyed two days of education on a wide range of industry topics, including marketing, financing, self-storage construction and development, green building, and day-to-day facility management.
 
“We’re grateful to have so many people from all around the world at the show this year, especially in today’s economy,” said Troy Bix, publisher of Inside Self-Storage magazine. “We’re seeing a renewed interest and commitment to the industry, and even hearing whispers about new development just around the corner.”
 
The exhibit hall opened yesterday with more than 150 exhibitors displaying self-storage products and services. Companies include developers and builders, brokers, financiers, insurance experts, door manufacturers, software vendors and many others. On-site registration for the exhibit hall is available through noon today.
 
A cocktail reception, co-sponsored by Janus International Inc., Mako Steel Inc. and DAI General Contracting, was held last night with hundreds in attendance.
 
This morning, attendees have access to the exhibit hall as well as the Buyers and Sellers Meeting. They can also choose to register for one of three intensive workshops: Management Workshop, Marketing and Sales Boot Camp or Developers Seminar.
 
The next ISS Expo will take place in New Orleans, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, at the New Orleans Marriott on Canal Street. The superlative education program will feature the industry’s top consultants, developers, marketers and online experts addressing topics such as management, marketing, financing and more. The fall show will also feature two days of exhibits, add-on workshops, a Technology Marketplace and more.
